Hey, Pete -- six months today. Where did the time go? When I look at your picture, it seems as though you are still here, and getting ready to come over dinner. Garfield is still doing well. I brought the cedar chest over here for him, and he has re-claimed it as his own. Once in a while, Riley hops up there -- but not for long! I know that you are keeping watch over me. I hope that you are pleased with the progress I've made with your place. I still call it "Pete's condo." I think of you every day, but, especially on these anniversaries.

Well, here we are, Pete, at the three-month anniversary. That place across the hall is still "Pete's place," and this orange cat here with me is still "Pete's cat." He's doing well, as I'm sure you are aware. He still answers me when I talk to him, and he still pounces on Riley, when Riley teases him. Some things never change. I know that you are looking out for me now, just as you always did before. We still make a good team, don't we?

Uncle Bob was a true gentleman and like a father to me. We will always remember him and miss him dearly. Rest in peace.

After marrying Jeanine in 92  Bob was a part of our family and became uncle Bob to our kids too. He was great to be around and always had a good story to tell when he came to visit. He was like a second father to Jeanine and he will be missed. We love you Bob and thank you for sharing part of your life with us.

Remembering Bob (Uncle Bob)... From the 1st day we met in Dec. 1968, (Jeanine 2 weeks old) you became part of my family. After Dennis was born, there was no doubt that you were their 'Uncle Bob'. Through the 45 years we have shared many memories. As the tears of joy & sorrow stream down our faces the kids & I have been remembering some of those wonderful fun filled times.I thank God that my children grew up with an "Uncle Bob" who was strong, kind, loving, funny and would eat anything I cooked. As the song says: "Thanks for the Memories", they will be in our hearts forever...May you rest in peace, love, Donna

I too enjoyed seeing Pete when I came to visit as a child as well as an adult. I liked going to the softball games when Pete was playing. God Bless Him.

Dear Pete~
This place is just not the same without you. After so many years, I've grown accustomed to knowing that you were over there, & Sue was over here; it comforted me. You are sorely missed, not just by Sue & I, but by many. Of course, I particularly appreciated your love for animals, a subject you and I liked to talk about. One of our very last conversations in fact - which I will always remember - was you being more concerned about Garfield than yourself. I assured you he'd always be well taken care of, & Sue would have it no other way. I know that he misses you, but he is in good company with his cousin Reilly.

Uncle Pete has always been a cherished part of my life.  From all the meals we shared, whether at home or out at restaurants, going to Disney, watching my baseball and softball games, we've spent quite a bit of time together.  When I was about ten years old, we lived with Uncle Pete and Grandma in Margate while waiting to move into our new house.  When we moved in, Uncle Pete helped build our garage.  He used to take me to where he worked at Bendix.  I had lunch with him and his friend Lloyd one day.  When I played softball for Publix, we were short a player and Uncle Pete played first base for us.  Uncle Pete came up to Graceville a few years ago and Ashley took him for a tour of the farm on the four-wheeler.  He had a great time.  Even though I moved eight hours away, I still was able to have dinner with him and Mom while I was down in Sunrise for business.  He was always there for us, whether giving advice, helping us with our cars, plumbing, electrical, and many other things.  I'm glad I was able to see him one last time a few weeks ago.  Uncle Pete was a great man; I love him and I will miss him dearly.

I remember Uncle Pete taking me to a wrestling match around 1984. This is a fond childhood memory I will never forget. And, he was the first person in my family to meet Anya (except me). She liked him immediately (which is unusual for her). He was dearly loved and will be missed.

My memories of my Uncle Pete go back to my childhood. He lived with us for awhile and wasn't particularly fond of little kids as I remember. We would get him all riled up and he would come at us like a giant bulldozer. We would giggle at him and he would just get all red in the face and walk away all flustered. Unfortunately he moved to Florida when I was young and I didn't get to see him very much throughout the years. But I will always remember the big teddy bear that he was. Rest in peace, Uncle Pete.
