Robert E Vann entered the Gates of Heaven on June 16, 2015, surrounded by family. He was born in Houston County, Alabama to Porter and Josie L Vann. Raised on the family farm in Florida along with 8 brothers and 2 sisters. He joined the United States Air force and was stationed in North Dakota where he met his wife, Marlys Ann Vann. They later moved to Pompano Beach Florida where they raised their family of 3 girls and 2 boys, while he worked as a crane operator. Predeceased by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, he is survived by 5 devoted children: Wanda Stone of Okeechobee, Florida, Debbie Guthrie of Stuart, Florida, Robin Wilson of Stuart, Florida, Kevin Vann of Pompano Beach, Florida and Mark Vann of Millbrook, Alabama as well as 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph Vann, Raymond Vann, Jim Vann and his sister Doris Williams. He will be dearly missed and always in our hearts.
Services will be held Saturday June 27, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Pompano Beach Florida. Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm and Service will be held at 1:00pm.
