Rodney J. Thomas, 73, of Ocala, FL and formerly of Fort Lauderdale, FL died Saturday July 30, 2011 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fort Lauderdale on January 21, 1938 a son to the late Ralph and June Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Judy L. Thomas. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a retired Fort Lauderdale Firefighter. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his second wife June, daughters Vickie Corso and Tracie Minner, three step children, brothers Roger and Rick Thomas, and four grand children. A visitation has been scheduled Wednesday, August 3,2011 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with the funeral to follow at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, in Pompano Beach. The burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens also in Pompano Beach. The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
