I was saddened to hear of Ronnies passing. It's been over twenty-five years since I last saw him, but I can clearly picture his incredible smile. As I think of him I recall what a level-headed, loyal friend and true gentleman he was even as a young teen. Reading posts of those who knew him as an adult brought a smile to my face realizing he was still clearly the same guy I remembered so fondly. Rest in Peace my friend.

Ronnie, I think of you everyday, and I know you are looking down on me, and watching out for me. I will always miss you, but I know I will see you again one day. I love you forever big cousin! Be at peace.

One of the fondest memories I have of you Ronnie, was when you were a little boy and we would often play board games such as checkers, and Milvia would always tell me, "dejalo que gana, que a el no le gusta perder"( to let him win as he was a sore loser), and I would tell Milvia, "NO!, El tiene que aprender a perder"( he has to learn to lose), and whenever he lost, he would get real angry in his own boyish cute ways, and I would laugh at him. although once in a while, I would let him win, to lift up his spirit.

I think of you every day and today being a month since your departure I feel you with us. A day does not go by that I do not remember your beautiful smile. Boy do I miss that smile. I look at your picture daily and remember all the good times. 
Although I am 10 years older than you I always have had you close to me. Oh, when you were born and mom would make me change your diapers. The way you would cry when mom went shopping and left you with me. I always tried to comfort you. We would play with your toys and watch TV. Pushing you on the swing at the house on Birch. Lots of great memories. 
Ronnie, you are missed but will never be forgotten. One day we will be together again. I look forward to that day and being able to give you a big squeeze as I've done before.

One of my favorite memories of you was when I would come and visit you guys in Takoma Park and we would run outside of the library jumping bushes (since I couldn't do that in NYC)  I miss the innocence of believing that things would always stay the same and that everything is constant.  Every day, I wake up and think about you and you are a normal part of my goodnight wishes and conversations with the moon.  

Do you remember when we skipped school with Ingrid Lisette for the very first time and you locked all of us out of the car?  That little brown Datsun.  We were in front of the High's thinking that Marien was going to catch us. I love those memories.

I miss you primo, I don't know why things happen the way that they do, I can only be thankful that for at least 37 years of my life, I got to know you, to love you,  and those memories will never go away and that will just have to be enough.  I was one of the lucky ones, fortunate to grow up with you and have so many laughs.  "I'll be back ONE TIME"  . . .

Ronnie, where to start? I've been struggling with the words to write for days to adequately convey how truly heartbreaking it is to know that your children won't grow up seeing your smile and knowing your light. You brought that light into my life in a very difficult time for me. It's crazy for me to think that was so many years ago, we were just kids, really, riding around like we ruled the world in your little brown car. I loved that. I will never forget the twinkle in your eye when you pulled your little jokes on us all. We laughed for years about that Haunted House...Too many laughs to count. Even though we never did catch up as adults, I am so grateful to call your extended family my own and know you live on through them. Despite the sadness at this tragedy, I know that when your loved ones look up to the sky and see that star twinkling extra brightly, they'll take comfort in knowing that you are there, looking out for us all, smiling from above. Que descanses en paz, amigo.

My memories of Ronnie is that big smile and the graffiti art he liked and that beautiful house in Maryland I loved. Always happy and that's how I will always remember Ronnie. Rest in peace, God Bless to the family!

I never got to see you as an adult but the last time we saw each other was when we were teenagers and you would come visit Evette and Ingrid (I lived in the building). I remember how excited I would get when you would come visit. You always had a nice big smile on your face and were always happy!

My favorite memory of Ronnie is when he took his two kid cousins Taty and I to the beach and spent the day with us. He buried us in the sand and we had the best day. I thought he was the coolest cousin. :)

Dear sweet Ronnie, you left this world so so soon. You left a beautiful impression on my heart forever. I remember when we first met in high school. It was Neil Acosta who first introduced us. We had instant chemistry...it was the beginning of a terrific friendship. You were always a perfect gentleman. You were always making me laugh and smile. It was a difficult time in my life. My family was falling apart but you were a faithful friend. I could count on you anytime, anywhere. I remember our class trip to Cancun senior year. Good times...still have the pictures. You would let me practice my Spanish with you. You always told me the truth. You were always so positive. I have vivid memories of you taking me to senior prom. You, me, Neil and Sheira cruisin in the limo...I remember you giving me a ring to match my hot pink prom dress. You were class and style all the way. I lost touch with you after I left for college but I never forgot those days. They are and always will be beautiful and special to me, just as you are. I was thrilled when we reconnected on FB...and just like old times you messaged me in Spanish. Wish the conversation could've continued but I know I will see you on the other side my friend. Thank you for sharing the light in yourself with us all. I still feel it radiate deep inside my heart when I think of you. Lots of love and hugs to all.
