Roy Taylor, 69, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away at sunrise on January 5, 2017. He was born in Alpharetta, Georgia, on September 28, 1947, and married Elyse Murphy (née Schwartz) on July 6, 2002. Roy dedicated his career to the print industry, where he was well-known for turning colleagues into lifelong friends. He is remembered for his selflessness, his sense of humor, and his smile. An avid golfer, his other passions included boating, beach days, and camping—plus a reverent pursuit of the perfect vodka martini. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Kimberly (33), Tracie (32), and Kellie (29), as well as his cats: Skar, Chowder, Jack, and Gypsy. Remembrances will be held January 9, 2017, at Forest Lawn North. Viewing 3 p.m. Services 4 p.m. A “Happy Hour” will follow at Inverrary Country Club. Tropical or golf attire is welcome.
