

Born on September 4, 1934, in Salaparuta, Sicily, Italy, Salvatore was the son of Giuseppe DiBartolo and Maria Romeo. He came to the United States with determination and a strong work ethic, building a life defined by perseverance, family, and entrepreneurship.
Salvatore was a proud businessman and entrepreneur. He owned and operated D&S Knitwear, a knitwear factory in Brooklyn, New York, where he spent many years building a successful business and supporting his family.
In June 1973, he married his beloved wife, Antonietta DiBartolo. Together they shared 52 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, hard work, and resilience. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Maria Elena DiBartolo, of whom he was immensely proud.
Salvatore spent most of his life in Brooklyn, New York, before retiring and moving to Florida. He truly cherished his later years in Coconut Creek, where he especially enjoyed sitting on his patio, relaxing and taking in the warm Florida days.
He is survived by his loving wife, Antonietta; his daughter, Maria Elena; and his brother, Calogero. He was predeceased by his brother, Vincenzo and his sister, Leonarda Sansone.
Salvatore will be remembered for his strength, determination, and deep love for his family. His journey from Sicily to the United States, and the life he built along the way, leaves a lasting legacy of perseverance, devotion, and joy for all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home, Pompano Room, 200 W. Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Prayer Service will immediately follow, at the funeral home, starting at 5:00 pm. To honor his wishes, a cremation will occur at a later date.
