Salvatore Pilato, 79, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away on October 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 14, 1945. Sal lived a full and joyful life devoted to the people and things he loved most — family, food, laughter, and good music.
A proud Italian and Vietnam veteran, Sal was a simple man with a big heart. He found happiness in life’s everyday moments — cooking his famous meatballs and sauce, telling jokes, and making everyone around him smile. He loved to travel (especially on cruises) and there was always music playing — from Frank Sinatra to Gato Barbieri — filling his home and his heart.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jamy, and their children Sal and Mareesa, together with Christina, Andrew, Darin, Jason, and Christina. Along with seven beautiful grandchildren who each held a special place in his heart. There are many cherished family members, and great friends. His laughter and warm hearted spirit will continue to live on in all of them.
Sal’s joyful presence and generous heart will be deeply missed but treasured always by all who knew him. His life was a beautiful song, and his melody will play on in the hearts of those he touched.
A Mass will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at 2:00pm at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33463. The Celebration of Life will be held after the Mass at The Pilato House, 7142 Golden View Place, Lake Worth, FL 33467.
