Samuel Landis (Ty), 46 of Lighthouse Point, Florida passed away on August 3, 2018. He was born on April 5, 1972 in Elgin, Il. Ty worked in the construction industry his entire life, starting as a laborer, operating engineer, supervisor and excelled to owning his own trucking firm and demolition company.
Ty was always an easy going, fun loving, everyone wanted to know him, kind of man, he was compassionate and fearless. Ty was also very passionate about rescuing dogs. He loved fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, working and picking on his sister Alison. Most of all his love for his family out shined everything else.
He is survived by his daughter, Madison Mae Landis, his mother, Judith Binz Landis, his sister, Alison Landis Armeli (Vincent), and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and Ty would not be Ty without Robin Thommes and Keith Herman being in his life.
He was predeceased by his father David Carl Landis and step-father David Lee Kanzler.
Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, August 10th, 2018 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 11th, 2018 9:30am at St Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 S Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441
Ty will be laid to rest in Cary, Illinois next to his step-father David Kanzler.
