Samuel "Vince" Sparkman

Vince is survived by his partner, Laura Edwards, of Coconut Creek, FL; his daughters, Yvette Buoncristiani, of Napa, CA and Valerie Sparkman-Hope, of Pompano Beach, FL; and his son, Ryan Sparkman, of Deerfield Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy John Sparkman, of Pompano Beach, FL; his brothers, James Sparkman and John Sparkman; and sister, Sue Barron of Pompano Beach.

Vince was born on July 28, 1943 in Colorado Springs, CO, to parents Aurelia Tafoya Sparkman and Samuel Vincent Sparkman. He graduated from High School in Chicago, IL with a degree in General Studies. In 1961,he moved to Fort Lauderdale and accepted a position as a waiter and bartender at various restaurants, where he worked for more than 25 years.

Vince was a great family man and a loving father. He was a social, active man who was deeply loved being on the golf course and fishing for the majority of his life. He enjoyed socializing with friends and family. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny, gentle, and caring person.

A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2pm. Michael Calderin will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vince’s life. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Donations can be sent to The American Diabetes Association in Vince’s memory.
