

Beloved son of Nancie and Tom Keegan, Scott was born on May 3, 1981 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Scott was a 1999 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he ran track and played varsity football. He was a gifted athlete in his youth, excelling in many sports. He attended Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University. A resident of Pompano Beach, Scott was an avid fisherman and sportsman participating in scuba diving, kite boarding, spear fishing, and fresh- and salt water fishing. Scott found his niche in the in the hospitality industry. He was a professional mixologist, tending bar at several local establishments and restaurants where he built a reputation and a following for his personal and caring service. He was also a proficient woodworking craftsman, designing and building unique nautical works of art. Scott also participated with his Dad in numerous Civil War historical reenactments and encampments throughout the state.
Scott was quick-witted with a generous and caring heart. He had many friends who loved and appreciated him for his kind ways, sense of humor and loyalty. He was always there to help a friend in need, and he will be sorely missed.
Scott is survived by his mother and father Nancie and Tom Keegan of Coral Springs, Florida, his sister, Christine Keegan Hamrick (Charley), and his two special nieces, Emma Grace Hamrick and Piper Anne Hamrick of Sullivan's Island, South Carolina with whom "Uncle Scott" had a very unique and loving bond. He also leaves behind man's best friend “Deak," who was a long and faithful companion.
A Visitation and Funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. with prayer and testimonies from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday January 4, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 731 North Ocean Boulevard, Pompano Beach, FL. Cemetery Interment to follow the Mass at Forest Lawn Funeral Home North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL.
