Sherman Mechanic, a cherished and beloved individual, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 18, 1940, in New York, New York, Sherman was a gentle and hard-working man who touched the lives of those around him with his kindness and wit.
Sherman's early life was marked by the loss of his parents and siblings, who all predeceased him. Despite these challenges, he built a successful career as a pharmacist, dedicating his professional life to helping others.
In his personal life, Sherman was a passionate photographer and traveler. He had a deep appreciation for classical music and was known for his love of Albert Einstein. His sense of humor and witty personality brought joy to those who knew him. Sherman was a nice person overall, with a particular fondness for steak and ice cream. He enjoyed watching his favorite movies, "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "Roxanne."
Sherman is survived by his longtime family friend, Kendra Sevi, who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held on July 8, 2025, at Kraeer Funeral Home, located at 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. The funeral service will take place from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North from 12:30 pm to 12:45 pm. A reception will be held afterward at Kraeer Funeral Home from 12:45 pm to 4:00 pm.
Sherman's gentle spirit and hard-working nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
