Sonia was born in Puerto Rico to Inocencio Santiago and Alejandrina Quinones on December 9, 1949. She worked as a customer service cashier for Publix Supermarkets for over 20 years.
Sonia is preceded in death by her son Raymond Martinez, her granddaughter Madison Martinez, her parents Inocencio and Alejandrina Santiago, her siblings Evelyn Melendez and Raymond Santiago, and her sister-in-law Edwina Santiago.
Sonia is survived by her children Angel and Evelyn Acevedo, Edward Martinez, Cindy Figueroa, and Vanessa Harris, her daughter-in-law Tracy Martinez and Courtney Martinez, her sister Dolores Santiago, her grandchildren Danny, Maylidy and Kevin Acevedo, Joshua and Zachary Martinez, Leighton, Cydney, and Gabriel Martinez, Iliana Figueroa Coey, Angela Freeman, Felicia McQueen, Dennis, Veronica, and Lorianna Figueroa, her great-grandchildren Laylani, Knoelle, and Zoey Acevedo, Ariana and Elijah Figueroa, Jayden Coey, Alyssa, Analise, Mateo, and Sterling Freeman, and Sophia Harris. Her many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Sonia will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home @ Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
