
Theodore Benjamin Thompson, age 92, passed from this life into another dimension and eternal home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Westside Regional Medical Center. He resided at Courtyards at Inverrary, ALF at 2801 NW 55th Ave. Lauderhill, FL for three years with his wife Beulah.
Ted was born in Litchville, North Dakota to Thovald E. and Olive I. Thompson. He attended Elementary and High School at Svea, ND; he then attended Business Collage in Fargo, ND.
Ted moved to and worked in Billings, MT. for Allis Chalmers Dealership as Assistant Parts Manager where He married Beulah I. Nickel. They moved in 1948 to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Ted worked at the head office of Allis Chalmers in the Parts Sales Department for 19 years before moving1967 to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and working for DeWin Equipment Co. as Parts Manager.
Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping outdoors and that is why he loved Montana and Wisconsin. When he moved to Florida he would take many trips to Montana where Beulah and Ted would hunt the Snowy Mountains near the B.A. Nickel farm. He would bring back to Florida many hunting stories and tell of his love of the outdoors.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; His Sister Ruth E. (Merle) Borgen; Brother Sidney E. Thompson; Brother Orval T. Thompson; Sister Evelyn T. (David) Lee. He is survived by one sister Sophie M. (Roy) Johnson in Mt. Vernon WA., and many nieces and nephews.
Direct Burial arrangements were made on December 22, 2011 under the direction of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, Pompano Beach, FL.
Memorial service will be held at the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church: Fort Lauderdale, FL Thursday January 12, 2012 at 2PM.
