Victor M. Porcelli Sr. of Pompano Beach passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2018. He was 97 years old. He was predeceased by his wife of 71 wonderful years, Angela (Angie) DePalantino, on February 11, 2018.
Victor was born in Italy on August 1, 1921 to the late Pietro and Sabina Porcelli before coming to the U.S. at seven years old. He had three brothers and one sister. He and Angie resided in the Philadelphia area before moving to Pompano Beach in 1969.
Victor proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his sons Donald (Donna) and Victor Jr. (Janet), his grandchildren Christina and Matthew (Jessie), and his two brothers Michael (Patricia) and Peter (Kathy). He also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Vidya and Rita who provided exceptional support and care to “Uncle” Victor during his illness. They would also like to extend their gratitude to the Vitas Hospice Team especially Nadia, Shonnet, and Dr. Fatteh, as well as the many nurses and health aides for their excellent care.
A viewing will be held on December 24, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Service at 11:00 am Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, followed by Internment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach.
