Anita Claire Hood, 67, died January 7, 2015 at her home. She was born September 22, 1947 to Gravette and Mary Weeks. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, word search puzzles, watching her favorite TV shows and spending time with her church family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Melvin Crawley officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be fellowship after the service at Immanuel Baptist church and no graveside service.
Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Smiley of Pontotoc and Sabrina Thomas of Fulton; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM-8:00PM Friday, January 9, 2015 At Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc and will be from 11 to service time on Saturday.
