Barry Gene Edwards, age 60, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born November 4, 1963 to Donald and Carol Stegall Edwards. Barry was a 1981 graduate of South Pontotoc High School and was a sales representative for Bad Boys. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Ryan Moorman officiating. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the Edwards family with the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Tanya Denton Edwards; children, Hope Edwards, Jordan Edwards (Jordan) and Alyse Bramlett (Ryan); a sister, Lajoy Moore (John); a brother, David Edwards (Pam); four grandchildren, Luke Edwards, Wrigley Edwards, Dansby Edwards and Ella Rae Tutor; and his mother-in-law, Janet Denton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carol Edwards, and a niece, Rayna Moore.
Pallbearers will be Bill Russell, David Edwards, John Moore, Ryan Bramlett, Luke Edwards and Ben Russell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
