Bobbie Fae Skinner Bell, age 93, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Oxford Health and Rehabilitation Center in Oxford. She was born November 18, 1925 to Robert Skinner and Hazel Florence Kilcrease Skinner. Bobbie was retired from the MS State Highway Department, where she enjoyed working as a secretary for 22 years. She lived in Picayune, MS for many years and enjoyed teaching Sunday school and studying the Bible with her family. Bobbie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. She enjoyed playing bridge and baking for her family. Bobbie had a unique sense of humor and often quoted, “God gave everybody one talent”.
Services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 4, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Webster officiating. Burial will be on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Gilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly Maddox of Marietta, GA and Nancy Nesbit (Mike) of Ecru, MS; one sister, Pat Suber (Don) Hattiesburg, MS; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Maddox of Greensboro, NC and Ben Nesbit (Judy Lynn) of Oxford, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Curtis Bell.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
