Bonnie Lyon

Bonnie Joslin Lyon, age 82, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church and a retired employee of Comfort Care.

Services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, April 23, 2010 at Buchanan Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Phillips and Rev. David Westmoreland officiating; burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is In charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband: Fred Lyon of Pontotoc, MS; 1 Son: Billy Mike Gentry (Deana) of Houston, MS; 2 Daughters: Sonya Jamison and Secyme Lyon, both of Ecru, MS; 1 Sister: Frances Cook of Thaxton,6 Grandchildren: William Tyler Gentry, Katie Leigh Gentry , Mason Bo Gentry,Shayne Burchfield, David Jamison and Keli Wray; 2 Great Grandchildren: Nick and Bradley Burchfield; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Stanford and Mae Joslin; 3 Brothers: Malone Joslin, Babe Joslin and S.L. Joslin; her 2 husbands: Willie Bo Gentry and Milton R. Tidwell and 1 Great Grandchild: McKensi Lyon.

Pallbearers will be: Bobby Cook, Jimmy Joslin, Donald Phillips, Donnie Holmes, Shayne Burchfield and David Jamison.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday at the church.
