Clara Belle Calloway Jaggers

A Celebration of Life Service for Clara Belle Calloway Jaggers 91, is set for 3:00 pm Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Furrs Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Cohea, Bro. Greg Herndon and Br. Bobby Caples officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends gathering will be Sunday from 1:00 pm to service time at the church.

Clara died April 24, 2024 at Pontotoc Health and Rehab. She was born October 12, 1932 in Pontotoc Co. MS. to the late Niles B. Calloway and Margaret Hill Calloway. She was a retired cosmetologist for many years, and was a Election Commissioner for over 30 years. She was a long time member of Furrs Baptist Church, where she was active until her health declined, having taught Sunday school, helping with fellowships. She read her bible every night before she went to bed and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Jaggers; her daughter, Cheryl Mitchell; son, Jimmy Merle Jaggers; her parents; brothers, Niles B. Calloway Jr., William A. Calloway, Richard Calloway, Dexter K. Calloway; sisters, Shirley D. Calloway, Shelby Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Sue Jaggers; son, Mark Jaggers, grandchildren, Luke D. Ratcliff, Alexander W. Jaggers, Mick Jaggers; and a host of other family and friends

Pallbearers, William Earl Jaggers, Mike Mitchell, Shannon Gunter, Wyatt Gunter, Dylan Gunter, Randy Todd.
