

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was proud to serve his country. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, spending time with his family and especially the fish fry’s.
Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at By Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Coward, Rev. Ray Guin and Rev. Jason Whitehurst officiating; burial will follow in the Eddington Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements
Survivors include his three daughters: Nina Jean Whitehurst of Hohenwald, TN, Brenda Faye Cavender of Pontotoc, MS and Wanda Lynn Capozzi of Palm Coast, FL; one sister: Jettie Mae Amsden of Memphis, TN; two brothers: Lawrence “Jack” Kilpatrick of Independence, MS and Lawrence Henry Kilpatrick of Baldwyn, MS; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence Clovis Kilpatrick and Velda Mae Houston Kilpatrick; one sister: Frances Lorraine Brisco; and five brothers: Wiliam Clovis Kilpatrick, Archie Lee Kilpatrick, O’Neal Kilpatrick, John Bassel Kilpatrick and Ernest Vardmen Kilpatrick.
Pallbearers will be: Lawrence Frazier, Jimmy Rainer, Denton Terry, Danny Collins, Dustin Baldwin and Tommy Pound.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM Monday at the funeral home and from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday at By Faith Baptist Church.
