Emily Jane Robertson Browning

died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Baptist

Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was

born on September 12, 1923, to Hiram

Robertson and Mary Emily Burnett Robertson,

in Memphis, TN. She was a 1941 graduate

of South Side High School in Memphis, TN.

She married Lacy W. Browning and worked

as a bookkeeper at E.L. Browning Co. Inc.

She was a member of Ecru Baptist Church

and she enjoyed playing bridge, cooking and

spending time with her family.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Ecru

Baptist Church with Dr. John Snyder officiating;

burial will follow in the Ecru Cemetery. Browning

Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the

arrangements.

Survivors include her children: Don Browning

(Freida) of Hurricane, MS, Robbie Browning

Ettehad (Perry) of Atoka, TN, Jon Browning

(Cheri) of Madison, MS and Lisa De Lashmet

(Arthur) of Germantown, TN; ten grandchildren:

Caroline Browning Brents (Stephen), Guide

Browning, Brian Ettehad (Michelle), Lacy Ettehad,

Roger Ettehad, Alaina Browning Winsper,

Evan Browning, Tori Browning, Elijah De Lashmet

and Emily De Lashmet; and two great-grandchildren:

Charlotte Ettehad and Jackson Ettehad.

She was preceded in death by her parents,

husband and two sisters: Georgia Hollingsworth

and Mary Hughes and a half-brother: Thomas

Fleming Stevens.

Pallbearers will be: Guide Browning,

Brian Ettehad,

Roger Ettehad, Evan Browning, Eli De Lashmet

and Stephen Brents.
