Eurie Lydell McDonald

Eurie Lydell McDonald, age 92, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was retired from Krohler Manufacturing and W.W. Wood Products. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers.

Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. David Barnett officiating; burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his three sons: Danny Rex McDonald (Linda Gail), Lanny McDonald (Pam) and Gary McDonald (Kay) all of Pontotoc, MS; one son-in-law: Billy Russell of Hurricane,; one step-son: Jimmy Blagg (Oneida) of Laramie, WY; a step daughter-in-law: Phyliss Blagg of Fulton, MS; one brother: Clydie McDonald (Ruth) of Pontotoc, MS; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence A. McDonald and Lillie Dowdy McDonald; his spouses: Lurene Todd McDonald and Levenia Andrews McDonald; a daughter: Mona Kay Russell; a step-son: Gary Blagg; two brothers: Elaine McDonald and Infant brother; and two sisters: Avis Williams and Lucille Robbins.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy McDonald, Russ McDonald, Chris Russell, Jacob McDonald, Drew McDonald, Logan McDonald and Taylor McDonald.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday and from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
