

Hubert Byron Horton, Sr., age 94, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a Baptist and retired from Futorian Manufacturing, after 35 years, where he was a Quality Control Manager. He was a WWII Army Veteran where he was a Tech Sgt. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA.
Services will be at 2 PM Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Earl Barron officiating; burial will follow in the Troy Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his son: H.B. Horton, Jr. (Frances); two grandsons: Brad Horton (Christy) and Jared Horton (Liz); five grandchildren: Darren Griffin, Abby Smith, Paige Horton, Landon Horton and Ethan Horton.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert Hamilton Horton and Dolly Hinton Horton; his wife: Mary Alene Johnson Horton; his sister: Mary Alice Caffee and a brother: Marvin Horton.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Poe, Mike Poe, Eddie Caffee, Ricky Caffee, Walter Parker, Matthew Poe and Jay Poe.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
