Jackie O'Neal Heatherly

Jackie O’Neal Heatherly was born February 16, 1952. He passed away December 30, 2016 at his home in Pontotoc, at the age of 64. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked at Independent Furniture Supply for twenty-eight years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, passing his passion on to his son and grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Wayne Cobb and Rev. Pete Gregory officiating; burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

He leaves behind the love of his life for 38 years, LaJean Seale Heatherly, his son and pride and joy, Derek Heatherly, his loving daughter-in-law, Ginger Heatherly and two precious grandchildren, Kera Faith and Parker Heatherly; two brothers, Mike Heatherly (Sandra) and Freddie Heatherly (Pat), all of Pontotoc; two sisters: Carolyn Ridling (George) of Pontotoc and Dale Angle (Jimmy) of Randolph, MS, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Jerry Bernard Heatherly and mother Connie Ercelle Heatherly.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Heatherly, Wesley Heatherly, Jimmy Angle, Kyle Angle, Chad Heatherly and George Ridling. Honorary pallbearers will be, Mike Heatherly, Brian Jenkins, Scott Seale and Junior Seale.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Saturday and from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
