Kenneth Donald Jackson, age 80, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2018 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born August 31, 1937 to William Donald Jackson and Thelma Hollingsworth Jackson. He graduated from Tupelo High School and attended the University of Mississippi. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service where he worked for thirty-five years. He was a member of Endville Baptist Church. Kenneth was an avid golfer and loved playing golf at the Pontotoc County Club and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He took great pride in his yard and looked forward to his Friday class reunion meetings with his former classmates.
Services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Endville Baptist Church with Rev. Don McCutcheon officiating; burial will follow in the Endville Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his son, Fagan Jackson and wife Leticia of Endville, MS; one sister, Jesse Powers of Highland, IL and one brother, Bill Jackson and wife Katie of Pontotoc, MS; and his two granddaughters, Heather Jackson Parman and her husband Chris and Harley Jackson and her Fiance’, Brandon Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris Ann Frost Jackson, and two brothers, Joe Jackson and Bob Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Barker Collier, Clay Collier, Chance Collier, Jay Holder, Chris Parman and Brandon Gonzales.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM Thursday at Endville Baptist Church.
