Nathan Everett Tutor

Nathan Everett Tutor, age 52, died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after an extended illness. He was born September 17, 1960, to Q.T. and Addlene Constance Tutor. He graduated from North Pontotoc Attendance Center in 1978 and Mississippi State University in 1985. He was employed by Pontotoc Electric Power Company as a civil engineer and enjoyed hunting, cycling, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS, and he served for many years in the Gideons Organization.

Services will be at 3 PM Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Dr. Ken Hester officiating. Interment will follow in Ecru Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Stark Tutor, of Pontotoc, MS; one daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Tutor; two sons: Aaron Nathaniel Tutor, and Jesse Oliver Tutor, all of Pontotoc, MS; his father: Q.T. Tutor; three sisters: Diann Easterling, Clarice Turner and Regina Bailey and five brothers: Floyd Tutor, Q.T. Tutor, Jr., Jackie Tutor, Chuck Tutor and Mark Tutor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Addlene Constance Garner Tutor.

Pallbearers will be: Floyd Tutor, Q.T. Tutor, Jr., Jackie Tutor, Chuck Tutor, Mark Tutor and Shan Easterling. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ethan Easterling, Steve Tutor, Chris Tutor, Craig Tutor, Daniel Tutor, Justin Tutor, Cord Tutor, Jake Tutor and Josh Tutor.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Saturday and from 1 to 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial s may be sent to the Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 535, Pontotoc, MS 38863.
