Ora Ruth Welch

Ora Ruth Goudy Welch, 99, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Pontotoc Health and Rehab. She was born February 28, 1916 to Pat and Lilly Mae Goudy . She was a member of Sherman Baptist Church. She retired from Irwin B. Schwabe Manufacturing. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, cake decorating and most of all her family.

Funeral Service will be 1:00PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Herndon officiating. Burial will be in the Ecru Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Welch Flaherty of Ecru and Janet Welch Risher of Brandon; five grandchildren, Scottie Flaherty Hancock, Todd Flaherty, Art Flaherty, Daine Risher Covey and DeeDee Risher Barta; ten great grandchildren, Nicole Flaherty Hill, Luke Faherty, Connor Flaherty, Collin Flaherty, Kinslee Hancock, Carson Hancock, Caroline Barta, Jeb Barta, Corbin Covey and Mary Carlyle Covey; and one great great grandson, Bryce Hill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Welch; her parents, five sisters, and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Art Flaherty, Todd Flaherty, Luke Flaherty, Allen Goudy, Cliff Hancock and Brant Covey.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM to service time at the funeral home.
