Peggy Jean Vaughn

Peggy Jean McGregor Vaughn, age 69, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at her residence. She was a graduate of Thaxton High School and retired from the furniture industry. She enjoyed cooking, her flowers, being a Grandmother and helping out at the Algoma Country Store.

Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Don Smith officiating; burial will follow in the Turnpike Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband: Gene Vaughn of Algoma, MS; one daughter: Michele Vaughn Bryant (Mike) of Houlka, MS, one son: Greg Vaughn (Tabby) of Algoma, MS; one brother: Kenneth McGregor of Memphis, TN and a grandson: Bryer Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Hoyt and Virgie Douglas McGregor; her sister: Steen McGregor Self and two brothers: Delaine McGregor and Clay McGregor.

Pallbearers will be: Larry Self, Keith Self, Mike Self, Allen McGregor, Phil McGregor and Michael McGregor. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm Tuesday and from 12 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
