Rex A. White, 61, lost his battle ALS, Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at NMMC. He was born March 30, 1953 to Cleveland and Lavada White in Pontotoc. Before becoming disabled, he was a truck driver for Action Transport. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Service will be at 2 PM Thursday at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. David Hamilton and Rev. Gary Pettit officiating. Burial will be in the Jernigan Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pam Gray White; sons, Brad White (Melissa), David White (Stephanie), and Brian White; and one very special granddaughter, Larae White, and a brother: Wray Denton. and a brother-in-law: Larry Poole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Myra Poole; and a special aunt, Bertha Ramsey.
Pallbearers include, Pat Montgomery, Lance Martin, Jim Littlejohn, Terry Conlee, Ben Russell and Terry Clay Akers. Honorary Pallbearers include Glenson Rackley, Wylie Jackson, Rex Franks, Larry Gray, Tony Foster, Steve Russell and Drew Waldrop.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and from 12 to 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
