

Richard Clarence Jones, age 63, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 while duck hunting in Quitman County, MS. He was retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Services will be at 2 PM Friday, December 14, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Minister Chris McAllily officiating; burial will follow in the Salmon Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife: Annetta “Pete” Jones of Shannon, MS;one daughter: Amanda Johnson (Branyan) of Tupelo, MS; two sons: Greg Jones (Marsha) of Tupelo, MS and Brian Jones (Jessica) of Pontotoc, MS; one step daughter: Anna West (Bill) of Shannon, MS; one step son: Bud Homan (Lauren) of Shannon, MS; nine grandchildren: Preston Jones, Spencer Johnson, Haley Jones, Kennedy Craig, Olivia Jones, Maddox Jones, Benjamin Jones, Mark West and Heidi West.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard Clarence Jones, Sr. and Mavis Lorraine Salmon Jones.
Pallbearers will be: John Vaughan, Will Vaughan, Russ Howell, Brent Salmon, Steve Jaggers and Danny Lucius.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday and from 12 to 2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
