Ruby Fay Crosby, age 88, passed away at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was born August 21, 1935 to Lonzo and Mattie Lou Sullivan Winter. Ruby was a member of Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She worked at Belden Wire for many years before retirement. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cooking each family member’s favorite food.
Services will be at 3:30 P.M., Friday, January 26, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rev. Bobby Cossey and Rev. Jerry Hooper officiating; burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela Wray (Pete) and Norma Bracken (Dennis); eight grandchildren, Chris Wages (Jennifer), Angie Tutor (Mike), Jessica Todd (Scottie), Joseph Elgin, Tony Elgin, Johnathan Wray, Kathy Waldo (Spencer) and Leanne Mask; 20 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ferrell Crosby; a son, William Dale Crosby and two brothers, Charles Winter and Johnny Winter.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Elgin, Tony Elgin, Zach Wages, Johnathan Wray, Warren Horton and Chris Wages. Honorary Pallbearer will be Evan Kemp.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 to 8 P.M., and on Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M.
