

Sheryl Ann Collins, age 48, died peacefully in her sleep, Friday, October 10, 2014, at NMMC, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on January 16, 1966 to Sherry Collins and Jimmy Collins. She attended Shannon School System K-12 before attending University of Mississippi, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Primary Education. The majority of her teaching career was done at Shannon, MS. She attended Troy Baptist Church, she loved her church family. She loved more than anything to be with her family. She enjoyed watching her children compete in countless rodeos, baseball games and other sports. She was always there to support her family, the best she could. She also loved to be in the water. Her favorite place was Davis Lake.
Survivors include her Mother: Sherry Collins; her father: Jimmy Collins; her husband: James Douglas Collins; one daughter: Hannah Grace Collins; a son: Jonah David Collins; one brother: Matt Collins (Mary) and two nieces: Morgan Collins Hallman (Denver) and Madison Collins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lawrence and Mary Collins and B.J. and Thelma Jo Tedford.
