

William J. “Will” Seawright, Jr. age 33, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He attended church at First United Methodist Church in Pontotoc and St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo. He was a graduate of Pontotoc High School Class of 1997 and received his BBA Degree in Marketing from the University of Mississippi, where he was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and served as Rush Chairman. He was a pharmaceutical sales representative, a member of the American Marketing Association, the University of MS Alumni Association and the United States Tennis Association. He was an avid tennis player, Ole Miss Rebels and Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending time with his dogs, Tallulah and Mason.
Services will be at 1 PM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Pontotoc with Rev. Kenneth Corley, Father Tim Murphy and Rev. Roger Shock officiating; burial will follow in the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his parents: William J. “Bill” Seawright , Sr. and Millicent Shannon Seawright of Pontotoc, MS; his sister: Molly Seawright Lovorn (Barrett) of Tupelo, MS; a niece: Mary Kiley Lovorn; his grandmother: Mrs. Virginia Shannon of Pontotoc, MS; his aunt: Sally Shannon Gillentine (Ken) of Tupelo, MS , cousins: Clayton Gillentine and John Shannon Gillentine and great aunt: Julia Yandell of Madison, MS.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: C.R. Shannon and Deloris Harris McDonald.
Pallbearers will be: Brandon Ridgeway, Ira Gaddy, Chris Carl, Will Marsalis, Evan Ray, John Reagan Tatum, Sheafford Davidson and Will Hammock. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Preston Leathers, Corey Armstrong, William Stewart, Justin Brantley, Jason Cruse, Carter Wilkes, Fant Walker, Chip Benjamin, Will Jones, Carver Rayburn, Matt McCoy and Michael Simon.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the First Methodist Church and Thursday from 12 to service time.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 308, Pontotoc, MS 38863 or to St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 431 S. Pineridge Drive, Pontotoc, MS 38863, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
