William "Will" Robert Stanford Jr.

William Robert “Will” Stanford, Jr., passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at his residence. He was born on December 17, 1989, to William Robert “Bobby” Stanford, Sr., and Carron Greer Wooten. Will was a 2008 graduate of Pontotoc High School. He was a member of Brewer Baptist Church and attended Lee Memorial Baptist Church in Pontotoc. Will enjoyed the time spent with his family and the many friends who were like family to him. He had a way of making people feel welcome and loved, and his laughter and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and on Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the funeral home, with Rev. Derrick Finley officiating. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Stanford family.

Survivors include his wife, Claylee Chism, his mother, Carron Wooten and husband John, his father, William Robert “Bobby” Stanford, Sr., his brothers, Wesley Stanford and wife Sarah, Shelton Wooten and wife Peyton, and Lance Wooten, and grandparents, Connie Greer, and Robert, and Regina Stanford, and special aunt Penney (PP).

Will was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eddie Nell Stanford, and grandfather Donnie Greer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Thompson, Austin Swinney, Grayson Puckett, Rob Robertson, Drew Barnett, J.D. Chism and friends and members of the Pontotoc VFW.
