Willie Faye Walker

Willie Faye Walker, age 90, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Sunshine Health Care. She was born December 8, 1927 to George Eddie Ward and Nona Pearl Stewart Ward. She retired from Brookwood Furniture in 1995 and then worked at Seafood Junction in Algoma for over 10 years. She was a member of Algoma Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard and her flowers and gardening.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Dr. David Hamilton officiating; burial will follow in the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue Warren; her two brothers, Dwain Ward and Harold Ward (Linda); two granddaughters, Melanie Conaway and Lola Knight (Steve); four great-grandchildren, Zack Priest, Cooper Knight, Walker Gray and Charlee Knight.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles A. Walker; a son, Randy Glen Walker; a son-in-law, Lee Warren; a sister, Mable Ward; a sister-in-law, Ruby Jean Ward; and a niece, Barbara Brazer.

Pallbearers will be Zack Priest, Cooper Knight, Walker Gray, Harold Wayne Ward, Bobby Glen Ward and Billy Lynn Ward. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Knight and Victor McGregory.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday and from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
