Antoinette “Annie” Stone Musser, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, “Fefe”, passed away Monday morning in her home. Born to Frank and Mary Stone on March 27, 1916 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she grew up enjoying her childhood with her siblings, Gertrude, Millie, Charles, Don and Rosemary. While working in the family floral shop she met the love of her life, Tom Musser. They were married in 1935, an anniversary that was always recognized with family celebrations on Easter Sunday. Annie was mother to four children, Jeanette, Pat, Tom, and Rosie. She followed her husband in his many endeavors which initially brought their young family to Jacksonville, FL. Their adventures continued with the family finally settling in New Orleans, LA. Her life revolved around supporting her husband and bringing up her children. Following Tom’s death in 1968 Annie lived with her youngest daughter Rosie and family. She found fulfillment working at Woman’s World beauty salon for many years. In 1986 Annie retired to Mississippi. Here she spent her time in Carver’s, Rosie’s restaurant, entertaining patrons whether working the register or playing cards. She also treasured many years living with her daughter Pat. They could frequently be found together at the bingo hall. She was known for her antics, always keeping her family laughing. The true sorrows in her life were the deaths of her three daughters. In her later years she was lovingly cared for by her son Tom. Together they continued the family tradition of playing the odds both at the casinos on the coast and at the kitchen table. She loved a good game of chance whether playing Poker, Yahtzee or Skip-bo. At the casinos she had “her” slots that frequently paid off. She was loved by her entire family whether they were near or far. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Musser Sr.; daughters, Jeanette Authement, Pat Brooks and Rosie Zoll; her parents and sisters, Gertrude Beatty and Millie Byrd. She is survived by her son Tom Musser Jr.; brothers, Don Stone and Charles Stone and sister, Rosemary Brozenski; 16 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at White Funeral Home 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS. A viewing will be held from Noon-2:00 followed by a memorial service at 2:00. In lieu of flowers play a game of Skip-bo in her memory.
