Betty Spencer Hunt

Betty Spencer Hunt, age 74, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Betty was born March 6, 1947 in Franklinton, LA. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Eastern Star. Betty was a teacher's aid for Bogalusa and Poplarville school system for many years. She was a loving mother, wonderful wife, the best aunt, loving grandmother, loving friend and a great cook. Family was very important to Betty. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Otto Spencer and one brother, Edward Spencer.

Betty is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Rodney Hunt; two sons, Jimmy Hunt (Paula) and Ricky Hunt; four grandchildren, Shane Hudgins (Laura), Luke Hudgins, Savannah Hunt and Summer Hunt; one great granddaughter, Paisley Hudgins and a future great grandson, Baby Boy Hudgins; one niece, Robin Spencer; three nephews, Tommy Joe Spencer, Randy Spencer (Tina) and Patrick Spencer; numerous great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces; one great-great nephew; and one best friend, Brenda Sandifer Ford.

Family and friends are invited to attend Betty's Funeral services on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm, at Bethel Baptist Church, 7451 MS-43 North, Poplarville, MS 39470. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
