Bobbie Lynn Adcox went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 10, 2026. She grew up in the Oak Hill community of Poplarville, Mississippi and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family and the time they shared together.
Throughout her life, Bobbie built a remarkable career and was known for her hard work and determination. She worked for NASA before later becoming a vice president at NBC Bank in Starkville, Mississippi. She and her family were also co-owners of a Sonic restaurant. Bobbie worked for the Chancery Court and was a bookkeeper for T.E. Lott. She co-owned Hugh’s Restaurant in Starkville, and was also a bookkeeper for Soterra LLC.
Bobbie had a wonderful sense of adventure. In her younger years, she loved to ski, interestingly, despite her love of skiing, she was deathly afraid of the water and could not swim.
She was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and valued the friendships and fellowship that came with her membership.
Above all, Bobbie will be remembered for the love she gave to her family and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She was a woman of strength, devotion, and determination whose memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mallie and Robert Davis; husband, Hugh Adcox; two brothers, Larry Davis and Gerald Davis and one grandson, Michael Simpson.
Left to forever cherish Bobbie's memory are her three children, Terrell Adcox (Pattie), Sheree Adcox and Alesa Simpson (Randall); one brother, Keith Davis; six grandchildren, Tiffany Brown (Patrick), Christina Henson, Dustin Adcox (Leann), Carmen Sinzheimer (Aaron), Ewan Adcox and Bradley Simpson; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Bobbie's visitation on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm and burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Poplarville, Mississippi.
