Carl Leroy Hicks

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Jesus Name Holiness Church, 10146 Highway 11, Poplarville, MS, 39470 with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Hicks was a retired diesel mechanic instructor at Pearl River Community College and a United States Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ella Marie Cramblett Hicks; four siblings, Rosie Lantz, Mary Tolliver, Marjorie Headley, and John Hicks.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Holland Hicks; four children, Jessie (Susan) Hicks, Ella (R.C., Jr.) Hall, James Craig (Kristina) Hicks, Cassandra (Shannon) Waller, Marjorie (Joseph) Stevens; one brother, Jim (Eleanor) Hicks; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene (Vina) Holland, Jack (Nancy) Holland, Lois Malone, Glenys Duckworth, Agnes Daniels; thirteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
