Jack was raised in Poplarville and spent most of his life there. After graduating from high school, he served in the Mississippi National Guard and later worked as a freight broker, a job he took pride in and worked hard at for many years.
He was married to the love of his life, Mary Brock, for 62 years. Jack enjoyed simple pleasures—cooking, especially gumbo, spending time at home, and watching sports. He faithfully cheered for the Poplarville Hornets, Ole Miss, and the New Orleans Saints.
Jack was a simple man who valued his family, his work, and his community. He will be remembered for his steady nature, his loyalty, and the life he lived quietly and well.
In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by, Robert “Bob” Brock, Herman “Bennie” Brock, James Brock, Daisey Brock Rone, Myrna Brock Rester and Emily Brock Coon.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Brock; daughters, Jacqueline Aline “Jackie” Newcomb and Stephane Hope Brock Marquez (Sammie); grandchildren, Tyson Newcomb, Jessica, Putnam, Brandon Putnam and Kaitlyn Eades, along with six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Colby Meadows, will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm at First United Church of Poplarville.
