He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Virgil Burge and Sarah Margaret Fillingame Burge of Lumberton, MS.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Diane Tynes Burge, whom he married on August 14, 1965; his son, Jeffrey Scott Burge (Stacy); daughter, Kimberly Dawn Burge Jordan (Ricky); and four grandchildren, Grady, Rory, BreeAna and Corey.
He retired from T. L. Wallace Construction Company in Columbia, MS, after a long and successful career, finishing as vice president. Buddy also proudly served in the National Guard for 16 years.
Family and friends are invited to attend Buddy's graveside service on Thursday, September 18, 2025 for 11:00 am at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Poplarville, Mississippi, with Josh Tynes, Jeremy Tynes, Noah Tynes, Josie Tynes, Grady Jordan, Eric Wheat and Cody Smith serving as pallbearers. Reverend Shane Moore, officiating the service.
