Charles Edward Green entered heaven on August 22, 2021 after a brief illness at the young age of 95. Charles was born in the great city of Laurel, MS on February 27, 1926. He was preceded into heaven by his wonderful wife Barbara (9/10/18),whom he married on February 11, 1950. Charles was a proud WWII Army Veteran. He served in China, India & Burma.

He is survived by his son Michael, and daughter-in-law Linda Green; daughter Cyndy and son-in-law Matt Crider; his grandchildren Geoffrey & Rachel Green and Tyler Green; sister-in-law Judy and brother-in-law Everett Strong; niece Christi (Brian)Toups; nephew John (Lisa) Strong; great niece Hayley (Tanner) Stockton; great nephew Austin (Jordan) Toups; great-great nephew Xander Stockton; great-great nieces Vanessa & Naomi Strong; and a son and daughter in the Lord, Ned and Kathy Tolliver.

Charles and Barbara traveled Europe in the early days of their marriage. They pastored in Augusta, GA, Port Arthur, TX and eventually came to New Orleans in June 1953, establishing Word of Faith church. The church began with 10 people & grew to over 3,000. They resided in Louisiana until 2010 when they moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Dr. Green continued to travel, preaching all around the world and teaching in ministers conferences and Bible colleges until his death. He preached a message one day before he entered the hospital. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, integrity, and excellence in leadership. On behalf of the family, we want to thank everyone for their love and prayers.

A memorial will be set at a later date in both Louisiana and Texas. Internment Memorial Gardens Picayune, MS.
