Uncle Red and Aunt Donnie always had the door open for me and my sister, Donna. After Aunt Donnie passed, he made us feel special when we walked down to visit with him. He'd put a fresh pot of coffee on and we'd catch up on everything. He'll be missed as there's no more walking down the hill to see him. We'll miss you Uncle Red.

So sorry for the loss of "Red". He was One of the Best neighbors Earl and I ever had. Would do anything in the World for anyone, and never ask for anything in return. We truly loved him. My family will miss him deeply. My daughter and grandsons are deeply sorry for this loss. My prayers to Shirley at this most difficult time.

I grew up as his neighbor and true friend. Charles Ray, along with my dad Wilmer McCardle have walk the banks of wolf river and fished many times. He loved playing music with my dad and Estell Odom . We would gather at one home and play into the early morning and sing gospel music. He was wonderful giving me advice as I grew up. I will truly miss him, but I still have those great memories!
