

Charlotte Marie (Oesch) (Haas) Greene, 91, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, residing in Poplarville, MS, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at home with loved ones near. Charlotte was born on September 13, 1934 in New Springfield, Ohio where she was raised along with her 4 Sisters and 7 Brothers on the family farm. Charlotte graduated From Columbiana Village School on the National Honor Society. Charlotte then went on to receive her Paralegal certificate from John Carroll University.
Organizations Charlotte belonged to: Aurora/Chagrin Falls Chamber of Commerce, Societ5y of Metals, DTJ Mount Pleasant, Lake Lucerne Garden Club, American Master Bridge Club, Auburn Investment Club, Realtor Club, Alliance Mentally Retarded Assoc., National Federal Employees Club and The Senior Center of South Mississippi for over 5 years.
Charlotte retired from the U.S. Attorney Office after receiving many outstanding citations from the Department of Justice. During 1958 to 1970 she cared and raised 4 children Bernie, Bruce, Brad and Sherry, which was a priority in her life, while her then husband, Bernard Haas was playing the Professional Golf Tour. At this time, she became Scout Leader, gave piano lessons and directed the Children’s Choir at Lord of Life Church. Entering the workforce at Braburn Alloy Steel, she became first Steel Saleswoman. And here “Charlie” was her nickname to break barriers in the purchasing departments. Charlie introduced the Mini-Self Storage concept in Northeast Ohio and built Chagrin Valley Self Storage in Chagrin Falls. She had them filled before the building’s completion. Before her death she owned Mantua Grain & Supply Store in Aurora, Ohio.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Bruce (Elanor) Haas of Chagrin Falls, OH, Brad (Debbie) Haas of Poplarville, MS and Sherry Haas of Poplarville, MS; grandchildren, Camie (Matt) Wagro, Bruce (Kelsey) Haas, Paul (Marissa) Haas, Phillip (Kim) Haas, Robert (Megan) Haas, Crystal (Jason) Boers, Anthony (Keisha) Haas and Thomas (Stephanie) Haas; great-grandchildren and bonus great-grandchildren, Tommy, Amber, Aiden, Luke, Darien, Natalie, Nikolia, Natalia, Grace, Phillip, Hayley, Caidence, Jaime, Emma, Ella, Joshua, Jayde, Hunter, Cason, Ma'kennah, Landen, Parker Mae and Tanner; one sister, Marjorie Ellison; two brothers, Randal (Donna) Oesch and James (Carolyn) Oesch; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Members of Charlotte's family that preceded her in death, husband, Judge Walter Greene; parents, Francis and Alta Oesch; sisters Lelia, Doris, Dorothy, Brothers Clayton, Robert, Donald, Gene and Harold; her son, Bernie and grandson, Timmy.
Memorial service for Charlotte will be at Lord Of Life Lutheran Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Date To be announced at a later date.
