With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christy Lynn Townsend, who passed away at the age of 36. While her time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in our hearts forever.
Christy was a devoted mother, amazing wife, loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Above all else, she loved her children, Starlynn and Mason, with her whole heart. They were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Christy had a free spirit and a love for the outdoors. She was a Army Veteran. She enjoyed fishing, working on trucks and motorcycles, and wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She found happiness in the simple things, and her adventurous personality and strong spirit made her one of a kind.
She had a kind and generous heart, always willing to help those she loved. Her smile, laughter, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her strength, her loyalty, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
Christy was preceded in death by her grandparents, James T. and Bettie Jean Fleming and her parents, James M and Starlett Fleming.
She is remembered by her children, Starlynn and Mason; husband, Robbie Townsend; grandmother, Shirley Sahualla; one brother, Matthew (Lauren) Fleming and one sister, Elezibeth Boykin; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Christy’s love and the memories she gave us will never fade. Her legacy lives on through her children and through every life she touched.
Family and friends are invited to attend Christy's graveside service on Friday, August 7, 2026 for 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church of Carriere Cemetery, 167 Smith St., Carriere, Mississippi.
