Claude Waguespack Sr.

Claude J Waguespack, Sr., age 91, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born on September 17, 1931 in Mont Airy, Louisiana. Claude was a jack of all trades from being a farmer, carpenter, working on the oil rig, shrimper, crawfishing and working for a grain elevator. He loved to hunt, fish and garden.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Expeire Waguespack and Althe Hymel Waguespack; one son, Micky J Waguespack and one grandchild Danielle Waguespack.

Claude leaves to forever cherish his memory to his loving wife of 70 years who was his childhood sweetheart, Gertrude Bourgeois Waguespack; his children, Claude J Waguespack, Jr. (the late Mary Lacarbo), Sharon Doucet (Wendell), Craig Waguespack (Donna), Roger Waguespack, Ricky Waguespack (the late Donna), Billy (Jeanelle), Brian (Cheryl), Jody (Marsha) and Angelle Marshall (Len); 19 grandchildren, Shane, Nolan, Neil, Shawn, Jacqueline, Emma, Ben, Kate, Christie, Daphne, Ashley, Dawn, Robert, Breanne, Brandi, Casey, Tracey, Caleb and Tori; 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend Claude's Funeral Mass on Friday, July 14, 2023 for 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12 Bilbo Hill Dr, Poplarville, MS. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
