Cleo Awrey

Mrs. Awrey was born April 26, 1943 in Pearl River County, Mississippi. She was a retired cook and server with Bill’s Fried Chicken and a member of East Pearl Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Lorena Seals Head; her husband, Michael Awrey; two brothers, Leo Head (her twin brother), Mickey Head; and one sister, Pauline Seals.

Family members include two children, Jimmy Michael Awrey, Linda (Kenny) Ainsworth; four siblings, J.D. Head, Buster (Laverne) Head, Bernice Broadus, Alice (Dave) Wanack; grandchildren, Brandy Awrey, Michael (Melissa) Smith, Rebecca (Christopher Holland) Smith, Jessica Ainsworth, Bo Alexander; and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home (315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in East Pearl Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
