Connie Renee Smith

Constance Renee Smith, age 75 departed this life into God's presence on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Firstly, Connie R. Smith was a believer in Christ and saw to it that her children attended Sunday School. She was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother who always placed the needs of others above her own. She was an avid reader, enjoying the works of Agatha Christie, Stephen King, and JRR Tolkein. She enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. She loved her pet cats and dogs, Rags, Little Bit, Lucky, and Lady. She would occasionally go on car rides for the simple of joy of listening to music from some of her favorite bands including Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, and CCR. Her and her husband Jerry would frequently travel to antique shows where they would enthusiastically participate in carnival glass auctions. More than anything, she enjoyed the simpler things in life with her family. She spent hours making and hiding Easter Eggs and lovingly watch her children hunt them. She would make ghost costumes for her sons for the Halloween Hay Ride at church. But perhaps her favorite activity was arrowhead hunting on Sunday afternoons with her parents. She was a character that her friends and family will all miss and that none will ever forget.

She is preceded in death by one son, Kurt David Smith; parents, James and Viola Woodard; two brothers, Jerry Lynn and Walter Lavon and one sister, Janice Evon.

Left to forever cherish her memory, her loving husband of 57 years, Jerry Smith; one son, Troy James Smith; two grandchildren, Kristian Aaron Smith and Jerry Peyton Smith and one brother, James Victor Woodard.

Family and friends are invited to attend Connie's graveside memorial on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery, Poplarville, Mississippi.
