David William Gamble

David was born on December 21, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Horace and Alice Gamble. Later in life, he made his home in the Poplarville, Mississippi area, where he built a life rooted in familiar routines and simple pleasures. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Picayune, Mississippi.

David enjoyed the fine things in life, including cutting grass and taking pride in a well-kept yard. A lifelong car enthusiast, he especially loved the appearance and craftsmanship of automobiles. He spent countless hours working on his own car, carefully detailing it, and attending car shows, where he could admire the work of others who shared his passion.

Before his retirement, David worked in the automotive industry in a body shop, where his attention to detail and appreciation for a clean, well-finished vehicle were put to good use. He took pride in his work and enjoyed being part of an industry that aligned so closely with what he loved.

David was devoted to his family, and his memory will live on in the many small moments that mattered most to him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Otto Gamble, Jr. and Alice Kinsler Gamble; nephew, Sean Michael Gamble and his brother-in-law, John Mark Stafford.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his brother, Michael Gamble (Alison); sister, Diane Gamble Stafford; nephews, Scott Gamble and Joshua Stafford (Madison); great-nephew, Colton Gamble; niece, Rachel Stafford Day (Travis); and his aunt, Olive Kinsler Gorman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at White Funeral Home in Poplarville beginning at 1:00pm. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 11:00 am until the service begins. Burial will immediately follow in Gamble Cemetery.
