David "Brandon" Jones

Brandon was born April 28, 1975 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to David and Linda Willenbrock Jones. He was a 1994 graduate of Poplarville High School and held a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance from the University of West Alabama. He was Maintenance Supervisor at FireRock Industries in Fairfield, Alabama.

Brandon was a talented self-taught mechanic. Since his teen years, his passion for speed drove him to build engines for race cars, boats, and motorcycles. Growing up, Brandon enjoyed playing sports and spent much of his free time hunting, and fishing, and water-skiing. Brandon had an extremely kind heart and was always willing to help a friend or stranger in need. He was a loving daddy, son, brother,husband, uncle, cousin, and friend and will be missed greatly by many.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Haschal Earnest Jones and Nettie Broadus Jones; and his maternal grandfather John Edward Willenbrock.

Family members include his wife; Jennifer Biddy Jones of Trussville, AL; daughter, Caleigh Breanne Jones of Warrior, AL; his parents, David and Linda Jones of Demopolis, AL; two stepdaughters, Liza Marczewska and Logan Link both of Trussville, AL; sister, Candace Jones Colgrove (Edmund Hibbler Colgrove, Jr.) of Tuscaloosa, AL; one niece, Mary McClain Colgrove; two nephews, Jones Hibbler Colgrove and Josiah Hendon Colgrove all of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 10:00 am. Rev. Michael Hurst and Rev. Ken Rhodes will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Hickory Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jones Colgrove, Jerramy Jones, Jason Alexander, Jeremy Tynes, Matt McDonald, and Brad Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Kelvin Stanford, and Jeffery Jenkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Gideons International; PO Box 411, Poplarville, MS, 39470, in Brandon’s memory.
